Alberta

Pelino

Alberta is the President of the Young Ambassadors Society. She founded YAS at the age of 19 and she co-founded the Y7 and Y20 with a global network of youth associations. After graduating in economics, Alberta worked for several years in a leading global investment bank and financial company in London. More recently, Alberta founded a social impact start-up Fibi, the Italian ed-tech community that has the goal of closing the financial gender gap.
She frequently interacts with global policy makers, institutions, companies and media to promote youth and women empowerment.
Alberta practised boxing for several years and she loves martial arts, yoga, and travelling around the world.

Edoardo

Cilla

Edoardo joined YAS after his experience as Y20 delegate in 2015 in Turkey.
He has worked in the global financial sector for more than 10 years and he is currently Director in a leading asset management company in London. His work focuses on quantitative research, and in particular on studying the impact of climate change on the global economy and financial markets.
Edoardo has lived in 4 countries across Europe and loves travelling the world.

Marta

Pelino

Marta joined YAS in 2015 and is currently a Board Member. She holds a BSc and MSc in Finance, with studying experiences in Italy, Norway, and Finland. Marta has extensive volunteering and mentoring experience and currently works as an Investment Risk Analyst at a leading investment management company, where she focuses on geopolitical issues and their impact on markets and investments, based in Oslo and London. She is deeply interested in finance and geopolitics, and loves travelling, meeting new people and discovering new cultures. Marta is passionate about mountain hiking and practiced orienteering at national level for many years.

Stefano

Cilla

Stefano joined YAS in 2021 when YAS chaired the Y20 Italy. He lives in Rome and currently oversees the tech infrastructure of YAS, developing and maintaining YAS’ website and digital platforms. Stefano attended the coding school 42 Roma Luiss, and he has several years of experience in coding and digital marketing.
In his free time, he runs and organizes events for his running club.

Gabriele

Casella

Gabriele is a policy-enthusiast Ph.D. candidate in Energy Science and Technology at Politecnico di Milano. He has worked at various energy-related institutes and public administrations, such as the European Institute for Energy Research, the Italian Ministry for Environment, and the Ministry of Enterprises and has been a youth representative at different UN conferences including COP28 and WFF. He was a Y20 delegate in 2023 and is chairing the Sustainability and Climate track at the 2024 Y7 summit.

Allegra

Ianiri

Allegra is a trained economist with expertise in strategic research and policy development. She earned her B.A. at Luiss University and her M.A. at King’s College London. Currently based in London, she works in sustainable finance, actively promoting socially responsible development and value creation. A former Y20 delegate and current Y7 chair of the Future of Work track, Allegra is dedicated to fostering inclusive and sustainable growth within rapidly evolving industries and labour markets.

Andrea

Rosso

Andrea is a climate researcher, working at the intersection of human rights and climate change. He earned his MSc in Environmental Sciences at Wageningen University and a Double Master Degree at Climate KIC. In recent years, he has taken on various youth leadership roles: representing Italy at the Y20 India on the Inclusivity track, serving as an EU youth delegate at COP28, and joining the Young Scientists Group at the World Food Forum. Currently, based in Turin, he is one of the EU Climate Pact Ambassadors at the European Commission.

Gaia

Guadagnini

Gaia is an energy economist with an MSc in Energy Systems from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Business and Economics from ESCP. She has worked on energy, infrastructure, and investment analytics across institutions such as the International Energy Agency, the Centre for European Policy Studies, and volunteering under the IRENA’s I-ACT programme. She joined YAS in 2024 as the Italian delegate for the Sustainability and Climate track at the Y7 and is now an active member of the YAS Climate Team, contributing to youth diplomacy across the G7, G20, UNFCCC processes and WFF. A former national champion in pole vaulting, Gaia is deeply passionate about outdoor sports and adventure.

Gaia

Zanzi

Currently implementing sustainability strategies at a multinational company, Gaia was the Italian delegate for the Climate Change and Environment track at the 2025 Y20 Summit in South Africa. With a background in economics, climate and environmental resource management, particularly in water management, she has studied, worked, and volunteered across 7 countries in Europe and Latin America. Her experience spans ESG reporting, corporate sustainability, and the implementation of EU-funded projects at Water Europe in Brussels.

Ginevra

Jesse

Ginevra joined YAS through the Global Youth Leaders Program during the G7 in Italy in 2024. She was a Y20 delegate in 2025 in South Africa, and she is part of the YAS Climate team. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from the University of Trieste and a double Master’s degree in European and Global studies from the University of Padova and Sciences Po Grenoble. She currently works as a Policy Officer in Brussels for an environmental NGO, focusing on climate action and pharmaceutical pollution. Previously, she interned at the European Parliament in the ENVI Committee. Passionate about environmental protection, climate policy, and sustainable food systems, Ginevra is dedicated to advancing ambitious climate policies and strengthening youth engagement in global decision-making.

Francesca

Passudetti

Currently Business Development Lead at ALK Canada, Francesca is chairing the New Skills, Entrepreneurship & Future of Work track at the 2024 Y7 summit. With experience in entrepreneurship and international affairs, she spent the last 7 years in the global pharmaceutical sector, driving innovation to improve patient outcomes. She holds a BA in International Business and Affairs from John Cabot University and an M.Sc. in International Management from the London School of Economics, and was Y20 delegate in 2021.

Lucrezia

Lanza

Lucrezia is a Ph.D. researcher in pharmaceutical chemistry with a MSCA ITN fellowship at the University of Freiburg, Germany. She holds a B.Sc. in agro-industrial biotechnology from La Sapienza University and a M.Sc. in biotechnology and environmental and biobased technology from Wageningen University. She previously worked as consultant advising start-ups on the best commercial and technical strategies to write proposals for funding programs. Passionate about transdisciplinarity and innovation she is chairing the Digital and Technology track at the 2024 Y7 summit.

Chiara Picchi

Chiara holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Pisa and is currently specializing in Marketing at Roma Tre University. She has gained valuable experience in the marketing and communication field through roles at Sammontana S.p.A. and Face D Italian Dermocosmetics. Passionate about travel and sports, she combines her interest in the digital world with social media strategy, working as a member of the social media team.

Stefania Paterno

Stefania joined YAS in 2024 after participating remotely in COP29. She holds a BSc in International Relations and is now approaching the end of her Master’s in Sustainability Management. Her academic journey has taken her across Italy, the United States, Germany, and France. Throughout her studies, she has been actively involved in various associations, gaining extensive experience in sustainability consulting. Looking ahead, she aspires to make a significant impact in her career, with a strong interest in nature-based solutions. In her free time, Stefania enjoys swimming, reading, and learning new languages.

Giulia

Di Donato

Giulia is Inclusive Growth Policy Officer at UNDP Viet Nam, and she has previously held roles in relevant policy-oriented institutions. She Co-founded Officine Italia, a non-profit with the mission to catalyze a positive change of Italy’s outlook. Giulia has been Italy’s Head of Delegation at the Y7 Summit 2023 in Japan. She holds a Master in Diplomacy from the Italian Institute for International Political Studies, a Master in Public Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, a MSc in Accounting and Finance and a BA in Business and Management from Bocconi University.

Fabio

Boniolo

Fabio is a computational scientist at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. With a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in biomedical engineering from Politecnico di Milano and a Ph.D. from the Technical University of Munich, he is actively involved in the biotech start-up scene and collaborates with various venture funds and entrepreneurial associations. He was a Y7 delegate in 2021 and is chairing the Digital and Technology track at the 2024 Y7 summit.

Our Journey: Founded in 2011 by Alberta Pelino, the Young Ambassadors Society (YAS) began as a dream to amplify the voice of youth in global decision-making. Today, we stand as a dynamic force, partnering with the Italian Foreign Affairs Ministry and the Italian Government. We are recognized for our role in the youth engagement groups of the prestigious G20 and G7 Summits.
